Hey there. My pen name is Kathmak, but my friends call me Kate (or Kathryn, or even Kathi--I answer to all of them, lol). I became interested in fan fiction relatively recently, probably only within the past year or so. I had always enjoyed the X-Files, but I was never a fanatic about it. Then I caught some late night re-runs of Season 9, and the rest as they say is history. (Robert Patrick is one gorgeous man. That's all I have to say about that.) I thought John Doggett and Monica Reyes were great together and had a beautiful chemistry. (They're soulmates, I tell ya!) I'm still ticked off about the way they were treated in the series finale, but that's a topic for another day. I started writing DRR fan fic after being inspired by some of the great Dripper fics I've read--that and the fact that there is a serious lack of good DRR fic being written lately. I figured it was time to "put up or shut up" and write some of my own stuff.

As for me, I live in the U.S. and am trained in the legal profession. I have two beautiful dogs: a yellow lab named Daisy Belle and a Doberman Pinscher named Maximus. I'm a huge sports fan: I love the Cleveland Indians and the Indianapolis Colts. And I'm a huge Beatles and U2 fan.
